世界頁(yè)巖氣大會(huì)已經(jīng)成功舉辦了2屆，是世界上規(guī)模最大的頁(yè)巖氣專業(yè)會(huì)議，展會(huì)同期將舉辦頁(yè)巖氣裝備展覽，又世界天然氣聯(lián)盟（IGU）及美國(guó)氣體協(xié)會(huì)（AGA）支持，同時(shí)由Chesapeake ,ExxonMobile, Bhpbillion, Honeywell, Statoil, PGNIG, TOTAL ,Bake Hughs, Shell，YPF， Halliburton的官方支持。參會(huì)人員來(lái)自世界各地，其中中國(guó)2011年就總共有45人參會(huì)，中石油，中石化，中化，華電集團(tuán)等都派高層前往參加。同時(shí)發(fā)改委研究院領(lǐng)導(dǎo)及中石油的人員還做了主題發(fā)言。會(huì)議得到了所有參會(huì)人員的一致高度評(píng)價(jià)及肯定。
2012年此會(huì)將繼續(xù)在美國(guó)休斯頓舉辦，歡迎中國(guó)頁(yè)巖氣領(lǐng)域內(nèi)的企業(yè)積極參與。
The World Shale Gas Conference & Exhibition 2011 attracted over 450 senior level delegates from 31 countries.
