反比例閥配合蝶式進氣控制閥使用，當(dāng)系統(tǒng)壓力因用氣量減少而升高時，達到反比例閥設(shè)定壓力時，反比例閥動作并減少控制空氣輸出量，空壓機進氣閥伺服氣缸閥桿推力減少，在彈簧力的作用下，閥桿回縮，當(dāng)彈簧力與氣缸的氣體推力平衡時，閥桿處于半開狀態(tài)，滑片式壓縮機進氣量減少至與系統(tǒng)用氣量相平衡。
反比例閥的調(diào)整比較簡單，但要實現(xiàn)伺服汽缸的靈敏動作則需要多次調(diào)整，反比例閥的調(diào)整目的是空氣壓力達到距壓力開關(guān)動作的上下限均有0.02MPa時反比例閥動作，以減少或增加滑片式壓縮機進氣量使進氣閥相應(yīng)關(guān)小或開大，提前調(diào)節(jié)空壓機容量，以減少空重負荷次數(shù)。反比例閥順時針方向調(diào)整有增加伺服氣缸進氣量的效果，反之，則減少進氣量。
